Hey, beautiful sister in Christ! 💕 Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs at us, doesn’t it? One minute, everything feels like sunshine and rainbows, and the next, we’re hit with a storm that makes us wonder if our faith is strong enough to weather it all. Whether you’re juggling a busy career, navigating the ups and downs of motherhood, or just trying to stay grounded in a world full of distractions—your faith can be the thing that holds you together.
But let’s be real: building an unshakeable faith isn’t always easy. It's a process, and sometimes it feels like we’re barely holding on. But don’t worry, sis, you’re not alone in this walk. Today, let’s have a real talk about how to strengthen your relationship with Christ, no matter what season of life you’re in.
1. Start with Self-Love and Acceptance
Before we dive deep into the faith talk, let’s make one thing clear: you are loved. Not because of anything you’ve done or haven’t done, but because God made you in His image, and He calls you His own. Yes, you!
Building unshakeable faith starts with knowing who you are in Christ. When you love and accept yourself—flaws, scars, and all—you’re in a better position to receive the love God has for you. So, take a moment to affirm yourself, Queen. You are worthy. You are enough.
The Bible reminds us in Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Let that truth sink deep into your heart, and let it be your foundation.
2. Create Consistent Quiet Time with God
Sis, I know life is busy, but listen up—consistency in your relationship with God is the key to building unshakeable faith. That means making time for Him every single day, even if it’s just 10 minutes in the morning or right before bed. This time doesn’t have to be fancy; it’s about showing up.
Read a Bible verse that speaks to your heart, even if it’s just one verse a day. Talk to God like you’re having a conversation with your best friend—share your fears, your hopes, your gratitude, and your struggles. Don’t worry if your prayers aren’t perfect; God just wants to hear from you.
Remember Matthew 6:6, “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen; then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
3. Surround Yourself with a Sisterhood of Faith
It’s so important to have a tribe of women who are walking with Christ alongside you. If you’re feeling distant from God or struggling with your faith, reach out to your girlfriends—those who get you and lift you up. They can remind you of God’s promises and help you stay encouraged.
Find a community of women who are walking through similar life challenges, whether it’s a Bible study group, a church community, or an online sisterhood. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” When you support and encourage each other, your faith becomes stronger.
4. Remember God’s Faithfulness in the Past
Sis, sometimes we forget how far we’ve come. Take a moment to reflect on how God has been faithful in your past—whether it was a financial breakthrough, healing after a tough season, or guidance during a difficult decision. These moments are the stones of remembrance that can help you stay anchored when new storms come.
When life gets hard, remind yourself of what God has already brought you through. Psalm 77:11-12 says, “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Let these memories strengthen your faith.
5. Trust in God’s Timing, Not Your Own
Girl, this one is HUGE. We all want things to happen on our timeline, right? But trust me, God’s timing is always perfect—even when it doesn’t make sense to us. When life feels uncertain, remind yourself that God sees the bigger picture. What seems like a setback could be setting you up for something greater down the road.
Psalm 31:14-15 says, “But I trust in you, Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hands.” Trust that God has it under control, even when you can’t see it. Keep believing in His timing.
6. Lean into the Power of Prayer and Praise
One of the most powerful ways to strengthen your faith is through prayer and praise. Prayer isn’t just about asking God for things—it’s about building that relationship and aligning your heart with His will. And praise? It’s a weapon, sis. When you praise God in the middle of your storms, you’re telling the enemy that no matter what’s going on, your faith is rooted in God.
Psalm 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Praise is a declaration of your trust in God, even when things are tough. So turn on your favorite worship music and let your soul sing His praises, even if you're crying at the same time. God loves that raw, authentic worship.
7. Embrace Your Growth Journey
Faith isn’t about being perfect, sis—it’s about progress. You don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to know all the Bible verses or have your life figured out. What matters is that you’re walking with Christ and growing in your faith.
Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God is always working in you, molding and shaping you into the woman He created you to be. Embrace the journey and trust that every step, even the difficult ones, is part of your spiritual growth.
8. Rest in God’s Peace
Finally, sis, remember that peace is a gift from God. In the chaos of life, when everything feels like it’s spinning out of control, take a deep breath and remember that God’s peace transcends all understanding. It’s not about the absence of trouble but the presence of His peace in the midst of it all.
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Let His peace guard your heart, and hold tight to the fact that He’s got you, no matter what.
Building unshakeable faith is a journey, and it’s one that we take one step at a time. But you don’t have to do it alone. Lean on God, lean on your sisters in Christ, and know that you are never without hope. Your faith is stronger than you realize, and it will stand firm through every season of life.
So, let’s keep pressing forward, knowing that with God by our side, we can face anything. We’re all in this together, sis! 💖
If this spoke to your heart, share it with a friend who needs a reminder of God’s faithfulness and love today.
