Hey there, beautiful soul! I’m so glad you’re here. Grab your favorite cup of tea (or coffee, if you’re like me and need that morning jolt!) and let’s have a heart-to-heart about something we all wrestle with from time to time: our God-given purpose. Yep, that big, bold, sometimes slightly terrifying calling God has placed on your heart.

Let’s get real for a second—stepping into your purpose can be scary. I mean, really scary. The kind of scary that makes you question, “Am I even qualified for this?” or “What if I fail?” Trust me, I’ve been there. But here’s the thing: God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called.

Fear Is Normal, But It Doesn’t Get to Control You

First off, let’s acknowledge something: fear happens. You’re not crazy for feeling it. In fact, it’s totally normal to have those butterflies when you’re about to do something that matters. But the problem comes when we let that fear stop us. You see, fear isn’t from God. Scripture says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV). So if fear is knocking on your door, don’t open it. Instead, lean into God’s power, which is always bigger than your doubts.

You Are Uniquely Equipped for This

Here’s where things get really good: God has already equipped you with everything you need to fulfill your purpose. Even if you don’t feel ready, He’s been preparing you for this moment, piece by piece, through every experience, challenge, and blessing. You’ve been in training, girl, even when you didn’t know it!

Think about Moses for a second. God called him to lead an entire nation out of Egypt, and what did Moses say? “Who am I that I should go?” He doubted himself big time. But God knew what He was doing. Just like He knows what He’s doing with you.

Embrace Your Gifts, Even If They Seem Ordinary

Sometimes we underestimate our gifts. We think, “Oh, I’m just good at organizing events,” or “I just have a knack for listening to people.” But friend, those “ordinary” gifts? They’re extraordinary when God uses them. He can take the smallest thing and make it mighty. So stop downplaying your abilities. If you’re good at something, own it. And if you don’t know what your gifts are yet, ask God to show you. He’s more than happy to guide you.

Surround Yourself with Encouragers

Have you ever noticed how your environment can either lift you up or drain you dry? It’s so important to surround yourself with people who encourage and uplift you, especially when you’re stepping into your calling. Find those friends who will pray for you, cheer you on, and lovingly remind you of your worth when you start to doubt yourself.

And hey, if you’re struggling to find that community, start praying for it. God is amazing at bringing the right people into our lives at the right time.

Take the First Step, Even If It’s Wobbly

Listen, you don’t have to have it all figured out to start. Just take the first step. Maybe that means signing up for a course, launching that blog, or even just telling someone about your dream. Action is the antidote to fear. Once you start moving, even in tiny, baby steps, God will continue to light the path. He’s not asking you to see the whole staircase; He just wants you to take that first step.

Pray Boldly and Often

When you’re pursuing your God-given purpose, prayer is your lifeline. It’s where you get the courage to keep going and the wisdom to know your next move. Don’t overthink it; just talk to God. Spill your heart out. Tell Him your fears, your hopes, and your dreams. He cares about every detail.

Remember, It’s Not About Perfection

Finally, don’t get stuck thinking you have to do everything perfectly. Spoiler alert: you won’t. And that’s okay! God doesn’t expect perfection; He just wants you to show up. Give it your best, learn along the way, and trust that He’s got you.

So, my friend, are you ready to step into your purpose? I know it’s not easy, but I also know it’s so worth it. You’ve got this, and more importantly, God’s got you. Take a deep breath, lean into His strength, and go out there and shine. You were made for this.

Much love,
Dionna (a.k.a. Coach Dee)
